How's it going. I've recently picked up a old farm truck title says 80. Well I've got it home and striped to the frame going for a full rebuild first things first is a Frame coating. For y'all that are running drops what do y'all recommend also suspension? The interior is going to be plain and simple possibly sheet metal dash with auto meters and bucket seats. Now for the big question is today I went to pick up what was suppose to be a complete motor (5.3) and (4l60e) tranny and rearend but when I got there it was just a block so I bit the bullet and took it cause I drove 120 miles one way. So for you guys that have done the 5.3 swap what are my first steps in getting it in the truck (modifications to the motor mounts oil pan ect)? plans with the motor are big cam 6.0 heads ls1 intake cal speed headers and I would really like to get my hands on that msd atomic kit but that's gunna have to come later on down the road.
