Ok question for ya. With it being stainless does that mean that it has to be welded with a TIG? Or can you use a MIG with argon?

You can use MIG with 80/20 Argon/CO2 for stainless.

I didnt think you could use 75/25 just wanted to make sure.

You might wanna make sure your muffler shop can even install the muffler before you offer him anything.

****** if I know lol. Me and dad were just talking about welding stainless just the other day. I also believed you needed 100% Argon, but he said no. The wire would probably specify whether it is for stainless or aluminum I would guess, and of course diameter would be related to the thickness you're welding.

Considering it's a $1000 system when new define what you'd consider "cheap" with the info I've given you. Also, he'll be shipping it from FL up to Mo.

Hmm....I'd say if he'd be willing to get rid of the whole system for $200 + shipping it's a good deal. I'm just curious as to why he's getting rid of it. Did he say he bought it new?

He bought it brand new. His wife got rear ended at some point (exhaust unharmed) but he still talked the insurance company into replacing the entire system. He's getting the system he's selling taken off this weekend and while their at it he's sending me pics of the entire system for closer inspection as well as pics as it sits right now later this afternoon. So Saturday he's putting on an identical system but it'll be brand new. So once I see all pics and verify everything I was leaning towards offering him $200 shipped for the system. He's an eBay seller as well and has a very high positive feedback and have no reason to believe he'd be nothing but 100% honest with me on the deal. I think the pics should tell the whole story especially if their close up and more detailed.

Definitely will. I hope to have at least the exterior ones later today. Then I should have the underside pics by the middle of the weekend. I'll be pretty excited if he ends up accepting my offer and I end up getting it. I'll have to use the money I was going to use to get the bedliner sprayed in the 77 but that's alright. It's hard for me to pass it up :)

Hmmm, didn't you mention he said something about his wife didn't like the sound of it? Why would he be replacing the system with the exact same thing if she hates the sound of it? Sounds fishy to me. BUYER BEWARE!

No, I speculated that to be the reason but I wasn't really sure and had posed the question to him that day.

In fact, this is what I posted on the first page...
Yeah, I've asked him early this morning why he's selling it anyway. It came off his wife's Burb so it could be that she didn't like it. We shall see. :hmm: The Corsa sounds so good and with the stainless steel it'll last virtually forever so if he'll take the 200 or 250 (shipped) i'd have a hard time passing it up considering how high dollar the thing is new. I'd never buy this system brand new that is for sure!
