I haven't touched a slip jaw pliers in years, haven't looked back. Also havent had any smashed fingers lol

smashed fingers to me always meant I'm not strong enough lol. Thats when i pulled out the pipe wrench if enough room.

Channel locks or snapon. Definitely can attribute most of the finger smashing to the old wore out ones but when it bites harder it more ways than one

Grips real good till it doesn't then you really smash the **** out your fingers lolol I'll stick with my locking knipex's. They grip better too, most slip joints have pretty much flat jaws.

Finger getting squished is the reason I only use Vice Grip vice grips. When you push the release lever it moves away from the tool. Can't count the number of times using the cheap versions I have pinched the pad of my finger between the lever and the tool (I am a slow learner!)

I been using phillips head screw drivers on them old Triumph motorcicles all my life.
I knew the heads of them screws was pozi driv but I didnt understand how well the pozi driv bits would grip them screw heads. There is absolutely no more slippage when trying to loose or tighten them screws with these drivers.

Finished up the front sheathing on the new shop. Need to get the gable ends closed up and then vapor barrier and then windows and doors and then....... its a long list

Been working on it pretty much every weekend. It’s dried in and started wiring. Got the ufo led lights in over the last few weekends. Setting it up for 3 big 100” ceiling fans and a 20” wall shutter fan on the gable end. The front bay is a mother-in-law suite that several out of town friends are already calling dibs on. That’s all framed with storage above.

Thanks, plan is to get the rest of the electric done on it and the concrete sealed/epoxied and save up for insulation and a few mini-splits. More of my attention will be going to the front "living" area for the next few months to get that mostly done, bonus is that area shares a full bathroom with the shop area so its a 2 for 1 in my book.

Went with mom and dad to an estate sale on Sunday- 50% off day.

Came home with a few treasures for $70 total. Got this bench grinder, 8” 3/4hp Craftsman circa 1968. Made by Brown-Brockmeyer, about 70lbs. It had been a while since I bought another bench grinder, I figured it was about time.

Complete with side guards, tool rests, and lighted eye shields. The bulbs are even good!

And the other stuff, a lot of redundant stuff, but for less than a dollar each I figured why not. Ridge reamer, spark tester, lock plate puller, some miter clamps, router base, and the smallest heel bar I think I’ve seen.
