Ignore the tractor tire that is getting flatter day by day. :anitoof:
I have something similar, so handy...

After you guys talking about them, then looking into them, and because I was tired of folding a Harbor Freight blanket three times and tottering on the radiator to play with things at the back of the engine, I made the plunge. Both for this and the step for the tire.

The latter, it turns out, works fine and doesn't need the shim [at the back of the tire] I was expecting it to need.

This I bought with the expectation I'd be modifying it as soon as I bought it.

In photos of it and others being used, the user was well above where he needed to be. So it was too with this. I only needed a 42" clearance, which lets me straddle the hood mechanisms, and gets me close to the work.

It came with a minimum 46" height. I just cut the bottom step off so the sliding part stops at about the installation bolts for the 90-degree part you lay on and it's a good fit. No holes to drill. Just run it up against the electric hack saw and it was done.

CORRECTION from my previous post: Even after cutting off the bottom step, this will still raise up 24 more inches, to 5'6-1/2", after cutting off the first step, well, "watch that first step" down.

For reference, a photo of the step I cut off is below.

It made swapping plug wires around for a nicer run and, temporarily, labeling the cylinder positions on the HEI coil cap a breeze.

Folded, the engine creeper takes up 24" (deep) by 31-5/8" (wide)

The cushion measures 11-1/2 at the narrow end, 18-1/2 at the wide end and is 17-3/4" long.

Hey, this counts too, right?

My shop door is riddled with rare earth magnets, and they can be found all around my shop. They're being used for everything from holding the control switch for one of my debris collector controls, to which I added a long cord to, well, this.

I had several 40-60 pound pull magnets just because I knew I'd find uses for them, and some long heavy pull (again, at least 40# pull) strip magnets. I was just lamenting the fact I didn't have a magnetic tray and, even if I did, that it may not always fit where it was needed when it dawned on me I could jury rig one using a few. Here are those magnets, ready for work.

Oh, and a friend dropped by to say thanks for watching his tigger (a bouncing Malamute-husky mix). He saw the new engine compartment creeper and commented on it, lamenting the lack of concrete at his place. Showed him this and stuck a 12" Cresent on it to see how it did. The Cresent didn't so much as budge it. No more hassle trying to find a place to set that screw or those bolts. For example, just stick it to the underside of the hood, get the screw within a 1/4 mile of one of the four magnets and they'll stay until needed.

Tried a wider version, just because.

legopnuematic, I added a cart, sized to the bin, under my nut/bolt/screw bin. That gives me a place to store boxes of screws and things. The big casters make it easy to move for re-arranging shop furniture.

I was at the cabin over the weekend.
Every fall the Montana Dept. Of Natural Resources drops the water level in the Tongue River Reservoir. This year seems some what lower than in the past.
There was not one other person at thier cabins over the weekend so I went beach combing.
Without digging or raking I did find several items.

The silver pliers is completely functional and same with the Vice Grip brand Vice Grips.
The winch was actually under the steps and ramps to my cabin and I just happened to get a glance of it when I was cleaning out some trash left by the POs.
Yup, the winch/come a long too is fully functional. Dont know what use I have for it but I am sure something will appear. :happy175:
The little solar charger device I dont know about that.
It had been submerged for quite some time. I forgot to load it into the boat and bring it home.
I think it might charge after tis cleaned up, dismantled and the wires repaired. It does apper like there are screws holding down the border so maybe it will come apart. Feels like its a heavy dury unit.

I found this interesting considering how many times people have said a wrench is a wrench. Doesn't matter what brand. Here's some good info. As to why some wrenches are better then others.

@Dejure
What are the dimensions of the top pad and is this foldable or have pics of it being folded?
I'm looking to get one too but hesitant, the price on your is doable. Just curious on the storage side of it.

Sad Sack, it says it is, and there are two removable pins for that, but I haven't got brave enough to see how much it does fold, because the part you lay on doesn't fold, so. . .

Guess I should do that today, since my list of to do's includes moving some roofing shingles off the floor, where they've sat for 30 years (things stack atop them just fine, but. . . .) because I wanted to earmark that corner, by the bay door for this and other auto related items.

Of course, photos will follow.

Modified the original post about the Walmart engine creeper to show it folded and noted the dimensions you asked for.

I bet the little solar panels are for landscape lighting. There may be batteries in it.

Thanks to your post I perused their site and finally pulled the trigger on this one -

May do some re-engineering on it but should meet my needs instead of spending $304 on a Traxion 3-200NXT which I was really contemplating. Plus space is limited and I can store it under my truck.
