I know I've seen this connector before. I went to check the car, but I didn't see one. TCC lockup is pink, green/white, tan/black. I must have seen it in the Jimmy, but it's not with me and won't be for several days. By then I'm sure someone else can find it in theirs or peruse the diagrams. Unfortunately, I'm a bit pressed myself with finals.

no biggie, I did the smart thing and disconnected it BUT I plugged it into the transmission for further identification. Only 3 wires in the pic, and only 3 wires going into the trans, so your probably right.

It’s a combo of torque converter lockup system for a 700r4 and cruise control. I recently upgraded from the crap and got a painless lockup kit.

Edit: now that I look at it closer it looks like it’s just the lockup system. Do you have a cruise button on your turn signal stalk?

The only wires going into a 700r4 would be for the torque converter clutch and the vss if it's an electric speedo. The cruise control wouldn't have anything to do with the trans.

They run in the same harness going through the firewall, at least mine did pretty positive they both get some kind of feed off the brake light switches to be able to shut off the cruise control as well as the switch on the turn signal stalk would tell the transmission to kick off of cruise. I had a dual switch setup which I believe is only for cruise.

I didn’t specify, there aren’t any other wires except for the lockup going down to the trans, but the cruise system intermingles with the lockup system

The ecm controls the lock up. The converter unlocks once the brake pedal is pushed with the cruise on or off.
