A friend of mine had an engine fire in his ‘71 a few years back and it has been sitting. Thanks in advance for any input. He seems uninterested in fixing it as he is not mechically inclined.

I believe it had a carburetor fire, it ruined the distributor and the wiring harness. So it will at least need all of that. The floorboards and frame are great. Will need doors or skins, probably rockers and some work on the box but is far from ruined, is patchable. Engine is original, not sure if it’s a 307 or 350. Looks like a three on the tree, and is a longbed. Has some fire damage on the hood but would probably make for some good patina if a guy or gal is into that kind of thing.

My guess is about $2500. If it matters what market, this is in NW Washington.

Unless it's been changed, that grille looks to be a 70 model.
You can tell the difference by the lug nuts. 1970 C10s were 6 lug, then they changed to 5 in 71.

You’re right- he just told me it was a ‘70, I misheard him.

That sucks, it wouldn't be that hard to fix.
Yeah, you’re speaking my language. I even offered to help him fix it, if he found some space in his garage out of the rain. But he just can’t commit, small business owner that can’t find time.
