Hwy guys - the brake saga continues - replaced master cylinder and now have "some" brakes in the back, but after pulling the driver's side drum and seeing that things look pretty old in there - I'm conocluding that the previous owner replaced the front brakes, all brake lines, and all bleeder valves' but did not replace anything in the back. I'm looking to replace everything, any recommendations on where to go for parts. My go to thus far is LMC Truck 0 but have had Summit recommended for other parts.

11" drums, and I can get the driver side drum off with no problem, but I have not been able to get the passenger side off yet. It moves maybe 1 mm. My guess is the shoes wore the drum and I have a lip. I backed off the adjuster quite a bit to no avail. I'll probably try again this weekend. But I'm at the point where I think it makes sense to replace everything, including drums

Thanks

Most stuff out there seems to be Chinesium , so when I had to replace a wheel cylinder recently I went w/ the least expensive option since it was all made in the same place. :(

That being said, Dynamic Friction Components ( DFC ) seems to be a good brand but I am not sure if they offer drums.

Check w/ the local parts houses - some may offer lifetime brake warranties which ought to be good for at least 1 replacement. It was with Advance Auto and the wife's Ranger front pads ... :p

I'd just hit your local auto parts store (except Auto Zone; they're clowns). You'll probably pay a little more, but if you ever have a warranty issue or anything they're right around the corner. Same goes if you somehow receive the wrong parts, it'd make for an easy exchange/refund.

you're looking around $180 - $200 for two 11" drums locally, Raybestos delivered from Rock Auto at $110ish delivered, so if you're budget minded...

I got all my drum brake parts off RockAuto when I did mine, including new drums

Late to the thread but t found that Rock Auto had almost everything that I needed to totally rebuild my discs & drums. Dynamic Friction drums arrived yesterday and look great. Only thing that I cannot seem to find anywhere is the “parking brake strut” aka “spreader bar” for the rear drums. Available for the 1973 C10 Suburban but not the pickup . May have to fabricate one as it looks like the one on the pax side will fit the driver side and can be used as a pattern. Anyone else have the same problem ?
