78 c10 silverado regular cab. Finished painting cab and doors, installed doors...

I purchased a 12 piece door seal set from ebay, has everything except the seals that are glued directly to the top of the doors.

I have been looking at precision DWB 1111 73 which are for 73-77 model years.

There is also the DWP 1110 78 which are for 78-86 model years that have screw attachments on the ends.

The doors and cabs are the same throughout these years leading me to think either would work. What do you guys use for this?

It will make no difference like you said.
Question is do you need them?
First new door seals are generally too stiff on properly aligned doors. No need to add to that minor issue.
Second, my 77 has those, all seals original. 86 does not have the secondary seal and has newer door seals that are now finally broke in years later.
Neither has wind noise though the door seals.
I wouldn’t install them personally. Unless you have a decided air leak around the front or top of doors. In which case I’d probably try some cheap stick on foam to make sure it cures the issue before buying.
Unless you’re just set on it being “original.”
