so iv been reading around here and online with other forums and I think I narrowed my problem down. I have a turbo 350 and ive started to notice a small puddle of tranny fluid under her. i changed the pan gasket and filter but I now believe its coming out of the dip stick tube. I have read that the o ring in there goes bad over time and lets fluid by. not so bad right. well the o ring didn't fix the problem so I read a little plumbers tape above the o ring should do it. well definitely slowed it down but still getting by. do I just buy a newer style tube with the better seal?

i did check the vent tube and there is nothing blocking that passage that i can see. any other cause possibly?

The grommet works way better than the o-ring, just have to get the matching tube.

Yes, because the bottom part is skinnier than the one with the o-ring.

just if anyone was following and had the same problem, the new tube and grommet style plug fixed my problem! no leaks now!
