Hoses are original. Regardless if this is your problem or not hoses need to be replaced as a maintenance item. 5-10 years is all they are good for at best.

Never hang the caliper by the hose. Use a bungee or wire to hold it.

5-10 years? I got underwear older than that, that hasn’t blown out yet.

I've got some that look like tracing paper, may have to reassess the undergarment situation soon.

I never said they would fail at 5-10 years but that is the interval at which they should be changed. They are cheap, easy to do and when they fail that can cause catastrophic issue(s). Why wait?

Ok. Changed both front brake hoses. Driver side Had been charged at some point. Passenger side was much older and that was the one that was grabbing. They see to be working now. Need to take it for a longer test drive. Thanks for all the advice.

You should considering doing the rear one.
