I have a 84 C10 2wd 8' bed. I am looking to install a 2" receiver hitch for towing. Currently the truck does not have a rear bumper but I will install a standard (non-step) bumper. Can anyone recommend a hitch that will properly clear the bumper and license plate but not hang down any lower than necessary. Based on internet inquiry, I have found the Curt 13028 should be the correct hitch for the application. Can anyone confirm this to be the correct hitch or offer a better option. I currently have the bed off to address other issues on the rear half and figure now would be the best time to install.
