No symptoms today and I was never even sore anywhere. I'm pretty lucky. That wrecker was repositioning itself while I tookthose pics, turned out that another wrecker backed up to the rear of the truck and towed it with the front tires on the ground.

My next truck will be either that black extended cab or a black crewcab. Not going to do any exterior mods whatsoever. No lowering no debadging no hid headlights no nothing. I have everything I need to completely beef up the trans including the 3800 stall converter. So that will be done very soon after I get the truck. Then I'll get a big cam and springs soon after. Since the engine will be low miles I won't need to replace the oil pump or litters or anything else like I would have on the 01. I'm also considering buying a bigger motor to cam.

Basically it's going to be a sleeper. Completely stock on the outside except for window tint and the gauge pods you'll see thru the window.

You should at least put a mild drop on it like a 2/4 or something. If the rest is stock and your exhaust is pretty quiet no one will suspect a thing :D Maybe throw on a supercharger??? :naughty:

It'll be plenty fast with that stall and a big cam and nitrous. For awhile anyway. I want it completely stock on the outside. If it's a 2wd then I'll have to put street slicks on it but other than that

You should make the tow/haul button on the shifter your nitrous button :)

I may level it out tho. These newer trucks reportedly have a 2" lift block in the back just like the 4x4s and take that out and put in 2" drop shackles and you're set

Haha I've thought hard about a 4x4. Sure would be nice to have it instead of worrying about slicks and traction bars

....and no one would suspect a 4x4 truck of being fast so it may add to the "sleeper" persona :D

But, you'll be quicker in a 2x4. Less weight for certain, lower ride height, and less drag on the powertrain. If you want quick, I for sure would go 2x4. Living in TX, I'm sure 4x4 is not needed much at all unless you want to go play in the mud, but it doesn't sound like you want this truck off road getting tore up. I'd go 2x4. Also cheaper, cheaper to insure and a bit better on mpg too.

Just make sure whatever you get, has a drink holder on the dashpad, Bluetooth with voice activation, and a heads up display... you are going to need every advantage you can get to keep this new truck a little longer.
