This serpentine belt isn't what should've been in my truck right?

Belt was thrown today and looking at replacements none have this v shape to the smooth side. Not only that but the belt had been installed w the v shape toward the pulleys and the textured side out. That's wrong yeah? Wanna make sure I'm not missing something.

That’s not a serpentine belt, that in a “V” belt.

“V” belts are installed with the taper puzzling into the pulley “V” shaped grooves.

And it sounds like it was installed properly.

If a belt is getting thrown there are a couple of easy checks -

Was it too loose?
Do all of the pullies for that belts route line up?
Are any of the pullies / accessories loose allowing them to wobble or move around?
