I have a 1983 Chevy k10 that originally had a 700R4 with a 305 engine. The previous owner swapped the 700r4 with a th400. While pulling something a couple months ago the th400 burnt up and now I am rebuilding a th475 to swap in the truck. My question is can I buy any torque converter that fits a th400 and bolts up to my flex plate or do I need to be looking for something special? Also what would be a good stall for a 305 that will be used as a daily driver/towing?
