Talk selector valve

Hi guys I have a question about the fuel selector switch. I have a 1987 tbi with a crate 350 HO. I have changed this valve 5 times since buying the truck (I've had it for 6 years). Anyone else have the same problem? is there another way to run two tanks? I only drive it abour 800 miles a year. Just an aggravating problem. Would love to hear anyone's feedback. Thanks

How does the valve fail? Do you mean electrically or mechanically?
