Just wondering if there should be a seal between the Tailgate and the sides of the truck... I took out the rear interior to start patching the floors, then noticed i could see a gap between the sides of the truck and the Tailgate... Is that normal? Ill post pics if needed.

Also checked my lmc catalog but didn't see it in their diagram.

Thanks

I haven't opened my tailgate in a couple years, but from what I remember, there's a seal that goes down one side, across the bottom, and then back up the other side.

It should have some seals considering it's enclosing a passenger compartment. Wow, I just looked over there, there is none for the sides, there is one showing for the bottom of the gate. I am really shocked, I would figure the side ones would be there to keep fumes out of the truck. Hopefully some other K5 owners will chime in here with what they got on theirs.

I replaced mine a few months back, bought from LMC. Dont think it was cheap, maybe $65 or so?

It is a one piece seal that runs along the bottom and up both sides.

EDIT: Try looking a Brothers too. I just bought all new seals for the top, 4 total, and Brothers was $10 cheaper per seal.

I'll have to post the pics I took today of my extra tailgate. The original seal is almost like it's 3 separate pieces that are molded together. But it is all one piece and it goes up both sides.
