I ordered bucket seat vinyl upholstery and seat foam from LMC Truck for my ‘83 K5. Beware that LMC lists the vinyl for ‘78-‘87 models and the foam cushion set for ‘78-‘86 models but the two are NOT compatible (see photos). The vinyl was correct with a more rectangular head rest shape but the foam is for a later model seat configuration with angled headrest sides that started around 1986-‘89. LMC does not carry the foam for previous years, nor was I able to find it anywhere because the foam is not fully replaceable on earlier years because the seat frame is encased in the foam and cannot be fully removed if it is in bad condition without extreme difficulty (ask me how I know). I stripped all the glued on foam from the frame thinking I could get the new replacement foam but to my frustrating dismay the new foam is for the next generation Blazer buckets. You understand better by looking at the photos attached. Needless to say, my seat frames are now useless and I resorted to buying brand new aftermarket Corbeau Sport seats which btw actually closely matches my 3rd row Tahoe/Escalade seats that I’m using for my rear seat. So, hard lesson learned!

I guess you could get a refund from LMC as it appears as their error in listing, but the stripped frames are your loss :( I guess an upholsterer could replace the integrated foam with new custom foam, but that would not be very cost effective.

I came here with this exact question. The bottom seat foam on my '87 Blazer is worn out so you are basically sitting on the metal support rail. I called LMC as I noticed the description on the foam replacement (38-2383) only goes up to '86 (which they confirmed) even though the picture looks like a match for the '87. It seems from your post that the foam would fit the '87 seats.
