Suburban bench seat adjuster wire

Hey All,

In trying to get my interior back together I went to put in the front bench seat and noticed the adjuster wire is not connected (looks like it snapped off) on the driver side lever.

There is a hole on the lever which would seem to be where the wire would run but the wire is a good 3-4” long…am I missing a piece or ??

I did have the seat reupholstered so you know how that goes, you don’t always get back everything, haha

It's just wire to each hole. With a decent sized loop. The arms should be at rest in the locking holes on the rails.

So basically just loop the wire through the hole, probably secure it with a lug crimp or something and call it good?

I believe there's a hook and some kind of spring holder thing. And it's a little bit of a stiffer wire. But you said some is left so that will help finding some. My 84 seems to go through a loop near the front edge of the seat. But I think my 79 is just straight across to the other side.

It goes to the hole in the release handle. There's no reason, other than ease to remove, that you can't just twist a loop into it with less stiff wire probably, havent tried bending the factory one as mine are in good shape.
