Hi,
So my speedometer makes a whirring noise once i hit about 20mph. Had previously had it disconnected because it got annoying, but would like to fix the problem now.
It has a new speedometer cable, so theres nothing wrong with that i don't think.
One person told me i just have to grease up the cable with this certain stuff (Or with anything, they weren't too specific and i didn't ask all the questions i should have at the time), and another told me the speedometers in these trucks just do that when they get old.
Anyone heard of this happening and fixed it?

Thanks!

Disconnect the cable from the speedometer head and test drive. If the noise is gone, assume a problem within the head.
