I've been doing quite a bit of reading into sound deadening, and I'm still in the process of researching it. I figure I'd share what I found so far with others and maybe get some more feedback and help others with it. Some of these links are a couple years old so it may be old news to some, but I haven't seen it before and they have a lot of great info.

And I'm still reading this, it's a huge thread involving a guy thoroughly testing different brands and products. Great read.

Here is some less$$$

QUOTE=keep_hope_alive;75013]Found some MLV and the perfect de-coupling product at Home Depot. My local store didn't carry it but free shipping online.

4'x8' is enough to do a floor, $30
i got two of them to ensure rear seat and wheel wells.

but you need to decouple the product, that's where ultratouch thermal barrier comes in

i noticed my floor gets hot from the exhaust, so this will help that as well. this would also be well suited on the roof to keep a car cooler in the summer (assuming you tint your windows and cover the windshield).

for extra fill in cavities, these bags will do the trick:

i'll let you know how the install goes.[/QUOTE]

Have you used it? Does it have adhesive on one side for ease of installation? Also I went on the company website and they said it's reclaimed material, meaning that sometimes the quality of the product can sometimes differ than other "batches". Still, for that price....

I made an order for two of them. For almost half the cost as dynamat/fatmat and more material, it seems like it'll be a great deal. Worst comes to worst if it's junk or it smells like asphalt I'll return it.
