You should be good up to 450 easily, they are pretty stout transmissions.

If the motor makes enough power to break one, it's not going to be a truck that likes being on the street. They will take about anything you can throw at them, just no quick shifting... they don't like that.

Just about all you can throw at it with exception of using NOS. Very tough transmissions.
