Another project car I have is this 1970 VW Squareback.
It has VW rear bug fenders that have been fitted to the square fender and then welded on for a widebody kit.
This car has been off the road since 1998 when the PO passed away randomly while in the middle of a carb swap.
I love the look of the car all the way down to the faded purple colored tint work on the windows
It will eventually be getting a fire breathing 2332 engine that I was building for my bug.
This is the difference between a stock 60hp cars carb on the right to one of the two Dellorto 45mm carbs the big engine will breathe through.
The pair of carbs and their 4 butterflies will flow over 1,200cfm all together.
Not to shabby.
Just a little bit of camshaft for it.
But first we just need to get back to the basics and get it back to road quality again.
So the stock engine will have to suffice for a bit.
Big VW engines aren't cheap at all.
I could have built 2 really nice Chevy small blocks for what I have in the 2332.
I still need to buy a new aluminum case for it and those are around $1,100 now.
