I have a 1985 k10 and I'm wondering if I can use a rear seat out of a mid 80's crew cab in my standard cab truck or if there are alot of modifications? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure. I do know that the second row seat from a GMT-400 or GMT-800 Suburban/Tahoe is exactly the same width as a stock squarebody bench seat.

It's a back seat from a 1984 crew cab dually. I know it won't have tracks to slide the seat to adjust it but I'm wondering if I can mount my seat tracks to it so it would adjust. From pics it looks Identical to a front seat but thats pics and I hate to make a 5 hour round trip to find out it won't work.

I do believe it is the same seat frame, just with brackets instead of sliders. However, there were differences in the seat frames over the years.

the short answer is yes
the slightly less short answer is probably more work than unbolt, bolt in
the slightly less less short answer is how bad do you want it up there? with the right attitude its going to fit
