25W RMS is decent enough for standard 2 way or 3 way speakers… Shop for speakers that are designed for a lower RMS power range that matches your head unit output. If you buy speakers that are rated for 100W RMS they will work but struggle to produce good sound at high volume due to being underpowered.

The average Alpine units in the 90’s and 2000’s typically had 25W RMS, higher end was 35W and top of the line Alpine “V-drive” had 50W or 60w RMS.

You cant really run a bigger amp with those speakers anyway, well the 50s you could crank up a bit but not the fronts.
25W rms is a slightly better than average aftermarket radio. Similar to say a newer base model vehicle. It’ll be fine, just not loud.
But to be fair 25x4 goes quite a ways in a little pickup cab.
Aren’t the kickpanel inserts for like 6.5” speakers? You could do far better with speaker power ratings and an amp if you’re using kick panels and big speakers behind the seat.

ya the kick panel speakers are 6.5... think ill run these and see how i like it.. i noted that retrosound has a plug in amp plug/play for this stereo.. so it would not take much to add it.. it has a 45rms x4 rating

Doesn’t take much more to put an additional amp in it if you’re putting in a powered sub already.
We just put this in my boys truck this weekend.

I had a Retrosound in my truck with some 6x9 Pioneers in the corners and stock dash speakers for a long time. It certainly wasn't the best but it wasn't bad. Would be plenty for most people
