Unless I luck into a pair of OEM fenders anywhere, who supplies the
best aftermarket fenders and inner fenders for my '84 C10?

Freight is a killer on these parts.
If I could locate in South Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, or Atlanta or Houston areas I could pick up.

My right outer and inner fenders suffer from battery related rust issues;
The left has a dent or 2 and some rust around the wheel opening lip.
The left is probably repairable; the inner left is fine.

I have (hopefully) lucked into a new OEM radiator support for a good price.

I ended up just getting an inner RH fender from LMC (for the same reason.....battery leaked and rusted the hell out of it). I haven't fitted it yet, but I think it will be ok. Planning on painting and installing it today/ tonight if all goes well.
It was $70 shipped, which was the cheapest I could find it (which usually isn't the case with lmc).

Order through a local body shop. I bought a hood that way and it was close to the online pricing and no shipping.

Good tip. Still want to know which one to buy. Maybe the body shop has a preferred source?

LMC has a couple different grades of fenders: their standard and Premier. The latter costs about 2X the former. I will contact LMC about the differences.

Carid has fenders from Replace, K-Metal, and Sherman in ascending order of price.

Any opinions??

I asked if he would put the part on his truck. He’s the one who will be doing the body work so I guess I sort of figured he’d want to get the best part he could. We’ll see, I don’t have the hood installed yet and I’m not sure what brand it is.

Is that inner or outer? I didn't notice that there were different ones.
Not that I would have gotten the better one for an inner, though.

Maybe you already have, but if not, keep an eye on Craigslist. I got a pair of oem fender for $100. One is pretty dinged up, but the other is in good shape and both have basically zero rust. They are in good enough shape for what I need them for, but I’ve been keeping any eye out for a set of nice ones for the future.

I’m still on the hunt for an inner though.

I have seen some used ones which may or not be better than my originals.
People seem to think that they have a collector value on their own, and
are apparently planning to retire on the price............

I buy tin through the local body shop. They know which suppliers have fitment issues and which ones do not. Also if the part needs to go back, easy peasy. Tins are easily damaged in shipping they do not accept them and re order.

I heard that.

I’ve dealt with this dude before.
81-87 Front clips

https://huntsville.craigslist.org/pts/d/lester-front-clips/6833615069.html

Idk about his fender prices but I bought a Warn 8274 from him for $175, and everything this else I’ve priced has been reasonable, but I’ve needed things that he sells as a bigger piece.

May be too far or not in good enough shape for you.

Those LMC premium fenders caught my eye too. I’d really like to see one in person.

Huntsville is a right fer piece form me, but might bear checking out.
I will ask a body shop or 2 about preferred fender sources.

Any opinions on Sherman fenders??
They claim to be OEM quality and are affordable.
Their 899-31L and R fenders are a bit pricey list price, but available right reasonable from Carid....

You can only really rely on... inconsistency. I have seen and heard the stories over the years about tin from LMC and one month it's fine and then later on there are fitment issues.
I wouldn't doubt a supplier will get sent parts from different plants without his knowledge. I've seen and helped install cab corners that were perfect, and others looked like they were for a different truck all together.
Years ago, 80's... we bought body parts directly from GM and there was inconsistencies even then.
If someone is currently buying parts that are acceptable I would try my luck there of course, but don't hold your breath expecting your part to hold up to the last one that arrived. Heck, it could even be better!
