I have a 1984 c30 with a SM465 transmission.
I replaced the OEM clutch pressure plate with a diaphragm style and now my clutch peddle, sometimes, stays depressed.
I found this on Google:
"Yes, new diaphragm springs significantly affect the clutch pedal. Because diaphragm style clutches apply force differently than older coil-spring (B&B) designs, they often require you to remove or adjust the factory under-dash "over-center" assist spring. If you don't, the pedal may feel numb, fail to fully return, or cause constant wear on the throw-out bearing."

Has anyone removed their assist spring?
