Rear tailgate window cover?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

On my 1986 Chevy Suburban, the tailgate has the piece of steel missing that covered the hole that allows you to work on the motor components for the window. It's more of a rectangular piece and the screw holes around the space in the metal are telling me something is missing. Anyone know what this piece is called or where I might find one to buy. My truck's rear window is leaking a little and the piece of trim I need to reinstall to stop the leak, really shouldn't be put on before I find this missing piece. If you need a photo I can get one tomorrow?

I think your best bet is a junk yard. blazer are the same and I believe they are the same from 73 to 91. someone can correct me if I am wrong on that. shouldn't be hard to find. highdesertranger

The Blazer panel is shaped different, so it has to be from a Burb. '73-'91 is the same.

okay thanks, theres not many junk yards where I live so I'll do my best to find one that has older suburbans from 73 - 91
