You could always do a 4" shackle flip from Offroad Design or DIY4X.

Take out the block and use the stock springs. Cost half the price of the two new springs. But Offroad Design sells Tuff Country springs seperately and with lift.

Pay attention to year range and net lift when looking at those, and then realize the shackle flip kit is the best way to go. You may need a pair of Zero Rate Add-A-Leafs to relocate the axle back 1" to 1-1/2" to recenter it in the wheel well after the shackle flip. You can see the difference the Zero Rates make here:

Hard to believe 1.5" can make that much of a difference but it does. Those are stock height 56" 3/4 ton rear springs by the way on my K10, a little more flexy, softer riding. I needed 6" lift so I have a 2" block on there as well to fit the 38s.

If you order it, Offroad Design has the best brackets but ordering through polyperformance will get you a better price than ordering from ORD...

The Zero Rate's are the same price, it would just be a matter of who has the best shipping rate:

I've heard both sides of that story and honestly if you broke a spring a shackle flip wouldn't help or hurt that, it was probably an old spring to begin with. When I changed out my springs for what I have now I discovered I had a spring on each side broke in the middle where the centerbolt is and I didn't even have shackle flip at that time. Offroad Design does have a pic on their site of a stock shackle that folded under lateral (left/right) force from trail twist though, so I have their beefed up shackles as well. I'm sure with a little time there will be some more people post in support of shackle flip kits and share their experiences/pros/cons of them.

Trailering with flipped shackles is okay, but remember that it lifts the truck, which changes the COG making truck more unsteady. I would suggest an equalizer hitch, the heavier duty shackles and swap to 56" springs( search the junkyards to find for cheap) to get a smoother ride.

MMMM i love my truck even more when we start talking about the good things out of 56 rear springs. I bought a second set to mod my front in the future with.
