They gave me 2 options but both are over an inch too long. The front seal fits perfectly.

Also the side seals are odd, the one with the indent for the dipstick doesn't quite line up with the holes but the side without the indent fits that side perfectly (minus not having that indent).

Thoughts?

Figured it out. Apparently the oil pan profile for 79 and older (my truck) is slightly different from one from an 80-85 (this motor).

Glad you figured it out. Amazon is not the answer, sometimes a trip to an actual store is best

Amazon or Rock Auto. Local parts stores can't come close on price. Typically take the Rock Auto price and double it. This is for the exact same part by the same vendor. I know they have buildings to upkeep, etc but so does Rock and Amazon. I rarely buy parts in a store anymore.

I bought some fuel injection hose the other day from O'Reilly's. 6 feet of 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" cost $227. I did not ask the price first so I did not want to be a dick and say "I don't want it" after he cut it, so I sucked it up and bought it. For $65 per 25 foot spool I could have bought Continental or Gates hose from Amazon. Overall cheaper and I would have a lifetime supply.

It is not a level playing field.Rock auto does not have buildings to maintain thousands of employees to pay, even people to answer tge phone, etc. They are the Ebay of the Autoparts world, they sell products offered for sale by others. Which is why some people have good luck, others have bad and some get counterfeits, because Rockauto has never seen and has nothing to do with the parts other than broker the sale. This is why my lifetime warrantied Air Tex fuel pump couldn't be warrantied by Air Tex or Rock Auto. And why my AC/ Delco starter lasted 3 days. Shipping and waiting wasn't worth it, iswapped the solenoid off the new starter onto my old starter( that was the problem to begin with, but a starter was cheaper) It's still working. I don't think Amazon owns their inventory either. Oreillys etc. Has millions tied up in wages, inventory, utilities, insurance etc. It's not a k
level playing field. And when everybody buys only fuel line and oil from Oriellys they'll cease to exist,if they cant make money they'll fold. Thenbwe can all wait 3-5 days for 2 clamps and 3 foot of fuel hose

or we can all miss work for 3 days while we wait for our alternator, brake pads, whatever failed on the way home to be delivered. It's easy to be cheap when you have no money in the inventory and no real expenses. My kid can sell oreos at the end of the driveway cheaper than you can buy them at price chopper, because he has nothing in them if he takes them from the kitchen and he has no overhead.
