Has anyone placed a late model rear end into a 1970 C20 truck. If so how difficult was it. Or would it be best to modify the original rear end? I have a 1970 C20 and would like to update w a late model engine and transmission.

The rear axles used in the older C20's are good ones. If you want a newer unit for the disc brakes, you can use basically any late model rear axle from a GM or Dodge through around '10. Bolt patterns started changing after that. But of course, newer axles tend to be wider and you will need to relocate the spring perches and shock mounts.
