Potentially Stupid Question

Ok, I have a blinker issues that is kicking my tail.


With my headlights on, the dash light for my passenger side blinker stays on, but the light itself is not on. BUT, when I click the blinker on, the blinker works(outside and on dash)

I've checked the ground and it seems to be fine. Am I missing something totally obvious?

Probably feeding the parking light power (brown wire) back to the dash on the Dk Blue wire. The parking lamps illuminate along with H/L's.

Check the condition of the wiring (where it connects to the sockets) for the lights as indicated below:

Also check the socket itself for excessive rust/broken contacts and (most common cause) that the correct bulbs are installed in each socket.

Combined parking/directional lights - 2057

Marker lights - 168


If it's not in the engine compartment wiring you might have to look at your directional switch (inside the steering column).
