LOVE your Chevelle, man! I have a 70 that's not nearly as nice...yet....and may never be! LOL! Are your wheels the 14's or 15's? And are those BFGs 245/60s?

How's that Ford Escape holding up for you guys? I wonder if one of those would pull my boat every day.

OK, Lemme point out, The on pictured here is of the members WIFE, as in female, and now you mention a girl at work, as in female.... See the common denominator there? They're a Chick Type SUV for those who don't want to be a Mini Van Mom. Would you tow a boat with a Chevy Equinox???

4cyl Front Wheel Drive, although V6 is optional and so is 4x4, but I'd not consider a boat towing vehicle unless you're talking a John Boat or a small Pedal Boat. I wouldn't tow much more than and engine hoist behind an Escape. Oh, and I've towed plenty of them !!! That's All

It does very well in the snow but it would only be good for a john boat or jetski if you have the 3.0 V6 and 4x4. If it's FWD or 4 cyl then forget about it.

It is a reliable car even by today's standards. The things to look out for are the oil pan plugs. Early designs had steel plugs in aluminum pans that most places stripped out which causes leaks. We know first hand but I put a 2010 design pan on it now and it's reinforced around the plug hole. Our problem here in the mountains is rust, it's getting eat up now.

I've seen a bunch of them kill the convertor in the front manifold, then the melted catalyst ends up clogging up the main convertor in the intermediate pipe. Expensive.

The front are 245/60/14s, the rear are 275/60/15s. I bought the rear 15x8 rims with 4.75 in back space from wheel vintiques. I had 295/50/15 drag radials mounted for a short time.

Why did you go with 275's over 295's on the street?

I have a customer's 69' Chevelle in my garage that has 275's on the rear on 15x8 vette rally's, and they look perfect, meaty and perfect size sidewall.
