I am working on a 74 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4. turbo 350, np203, mostly original (gm replacement engine several years ago). the truck runs good, with the exception of the 203. my plan is to replace the 350/203 with a 700r4/205. i am thinking about just using the t350 for a while, as funds for a good rebuild on the 700 are kind of tight right now. i know i can put the 205 behind it, it came off a t350. my question is, what drawbacks can i expect if i put the 205 in, and don't put lockouts on the front axle (other that the gas mileage, wear, front end turning constantly). i will put lock outs on it eventually, but i want it to look period, which means the big spicer hubs, and they are kind of hard to find around here. so, any input from my squarebody brothers and sisters here?
