Anyone have any good pictures of a cab roof that shows where the paint lines are on a truck that had a different color roof line? I've been thinking of painting my cab roof white when I get to it next spring. I know the paint line in the back of the cab would be hidden by the trim work that goes below the rear window, but I haven't been able to get a good look at where the color line would be at the front.

Also, does anyone know how that back of the cab trim is attached? Is that double sided tape or do you need holes in the cab to get it to fasten properly?

The paint line is at the top of the A pillar even with the top of the windshield, at least it is on my 85.

As I recall, there's a weld there where the top meets the A pillar, that should be your guide.

Yep, hes right! You can't see the seam until you open the door though. I honestly don't know what holds that cab trim on, I've never tried removing mine.

There is little post that stick out of the back of the cab, and there are clips on the back of the trim. How you get them off with out distroying them, I do know. I killed mine when I took them off the back of my SWB.

Looking at my LMC catalogue they look like single use clips. LMC sells them for $1.95 apiece, so they probably aren't meant to be re-used. They also have a cab mollding kit with all the hardware for 80 bux, which seems pretty reasonable, if yours is destroyed or missing.
