Have you done anything since posting about it? Remove some and see what it looks like. Coat a small area again and see what it looks like. Etc
It’s patina, Antigone hurt if you have to take some sandpaper or compound to it to fix what you have.
Also never dive into something new like this without heeding the standard warnings that are on so many labels “try in an inconspicuous spot first before proceeding”.
I don’t have any specific suggestions as I’ve never worked with the stuff, although the build thickness is negligible I feel.
Also ask Poppys. They have more experience than random folks and want it to look good or it looks bad for them.
