Hey everyone. I know this discussion would fall under “FOR SALE”, but I know the TECH area gets high traffic, so I wanted to address it here first. I’m getting ready to start my 1977 GMC K15 4x4 Restoration and I’m curious if it’s worth it to sell all my used parts at dismantle? I just finished my 1966 Landcruiser FJ40 and almost all my original OEM old parts, sold. I just know hat with Brothers and LMC, GM parts are realitiey affordable and was curious if it’s worth the time to diamantle, photo, catalog, bag and post the parts for sale on here? I sure appreciate the help.

A lot of parts it is worth, but some would need to be cheap in order to move them

Cost of shipping usually kills most good deals. We see it 100X over, damn I wish you were closer. Of course it's worth it though to answer your question. This just might not be the best outlet to do so.

Not to mention, your post count has to be up to 50 before you can post in the Classifieds. Believe it or not, there's a good reason for that, and NO, it's not to encourage participation. Most of us would encourage you to hurry up and get to 50 posts so we can see what you have for sale. Just be sure they're legitimate posts. Some will come in and just hit every build thread with, Oh that's nice and be at 50 in 10 minutes. NO, that don't work.

If anyone has the time and doesn’t mind, would you rip off a list of items that are frequently searched for off the “‘GMC K15 4x4”? I appreciate it. Or PM also, is fine. Thank you for the help.

Ok- stupid question, a reply is a post on here, correct? Like the other forum I’m in for Toyota’s? If that’s the case, I’ll get to it. Lol

Yep, reply is post.

Some people like original GM parts over reproduction, even if the original parts are not perfect.

Some people just plain don't care about originality and are perfectly happy with lesser quality new parts.

Personally, I feel it's worth it if good useable parts find a home.

OEM is always better but hard to find good fixable candidates. I've been on the search for some good 73-80 gm fenders that are some sort of two tone for a hot minute with no luck.
