Just picked up a rust free 1989 GMC Suburban 2500 2wd with a 454 and a T400 trans. Truck is complete and runs great but going to part it out. Don't wish to ship parts but if there small we can work it out otherwise local pickup only. If there is a part you need please PM me or post it here.

Is this a tailgate or barn door burb? I need an interior power window switch for the rear tailgate on my burb

It is a cool truck but it would cost to much to register it in California so we are paring it out. It is a California truck, very rust free, excellent interior, runs and drives good. All I can find major wrong with it is that it needs a new balancer, some paint and the power windows are a bit slow. Even the AC works great, yes it is a shame to part it out.

I will sell you the whole thing as a parts truck, just make me an offer I cant refuse.

What makes it expensive to register? Some kind of back fees I've heard people complain about?

Too bad you are so far away, I could put every scrap of that blue interior to good use.

Says it runs great, you could fly out and drive it back! Haha if it was 4wd I'd consider it

Lol, there's a thought. I kinda need 4 wheel drive too though. It's a shame, because 10 minutes from my house there is a literally rust free '91 C20 Burb for sale. The guy is asking 4K for it, which makes me wonder... this '89 getting parted, what would it go for as a whole out that way? Can you get nearly that much in parts?

Location makes a difference, here locally there was 91 r2500 for sale for few months at $2000 before someone got it/or seller gave up. Clean big block with some paint fading as an only flaw.

It really is a shame to part it. I just drove it to put some gas and it drives great, shifts great and very quiet. Yes the interior is a 8 of 10, no rips or ware in the seats just a few cracks on the dash. I do know it needs a new balancer and a few leaks fixed in the power steering, engine and trans, all from sitting too long but not hard to repair. The seller I purchased it from had it parked on there property for over 10 years, there is no title only a bill of sale when I checked the vin online I found it to be out of the DMV system. Someone could get a title I guess with and inspection, smog, insurance and all the other stuff the DMV wants us to do that cost money and its just not worth it to me. As it does run great and is a 2wd truck with a 454 / T400 and TBI was thinking of keeping the engine, trans, harness and computer for my next build. If anyone is in the area and wants to come over to check it out just PM me, I am here most of the week.

This would most likely be a $2000.00 plus suburban out your way.

How much would you want for the whole truck and do you have a title in your name?

I will consider selling it whole as a parts truck only, there is no title as explained earlier in this thread. I recommend you come see it then make an offer.
