One of the reasons i picked this Burban up was the fresh build on both axles a 4 bolt Dana 60 and a 14 bolt full floating axle in the rear. When i noticed this the first time i called and asked the PO about it he informed me it had an Auborn locker in the rear...

That sound right for an issue like this..?

Outside tire as in a turn? If so then yes that's the locker kicking in. After driving it a while you'll learn to use steadier throttle in the turns, since it kicking in like that could be bad on a wet/snowy road. But once you get the hang of it you wont want to be without it! Especially on a trail!!

Yep, Likely what C4 said. Also if its fresh, it might loosen up a bit when it gets broke in good.

 One thing fun about posi or locker rear ends, you'll get pretty good at your backsteer reacton times and skills. Its fun going any which way but straight when the ass end is fishtailing if you put your foot in it going around a corner. When I have a posi or locker rear end, I have a bad habit of testing the rear end often to make sure its still working right. :High 5:

Mine is welded so there is no sudden jolt, it just squalls all the time in the corners.

As long as the front axle is open, just drive all winter with the hubs locked. Then getting into 4hi is as simple as moving a lever.

GM offered auto hubs too, but they aren't reliable. They were even offered on the D60, I have a brand new set.

Maybe Mile Marker hubs? Only thing it does is your front axle shafts, diff and driveshaft will be spinning, but not pulling at the t-case. When mine was my winter DD many years ago I would leave the hubs locked and just kick it in 4-Hi when I needed it.

EDIT: "premium" usually means Warn Premiums.

A few years ago..when my 1996 chevy exspress van did that..the sun shield in the trans..broke..stripped..it has one of those defective.
4l60e transmission..i had a chevy dealer.trans guy to tear it out and tear it open and replace..all the parts that it needed..

The beast sun shield..was put in...tire broke lose in a stop go turn.and then i had only 2-4th gear..if you got a 4l60e.that is something to look at..

My vehicle.did exactly..what you said your vehicle did..

As long as the front axle is open, just drive all winter with the hubs locked. Then getting into 4hi is as simple as moving a lever.

And if its a locker in the front, just keep 1 hub locked in so getting to 3 WD is just a matter of shifting the Tcase. In the event you MIGHT get stuck, then you'd have no choice but to get out and lock the other one.
I'm not thinking that would work if it were a limited slip unit. It would, but I'd be afraid of how hard the gears will hit once the limited amount of slip has been reached.
