Oil pressure switch adapter or relocation

Hey all I have the iconic 3 gauge cluster to Install on my 87 350tbi k20/r20 or whatever it is. Anyways I'm gonna replace the factory oil pressure switch while I'm at it and I need an aftermarket adapter block so I can run factory switch and aftermarket switch so essentially a 2way adapter. I'm sure other people have done this plenty and since I have to order it on the internet I want to make sure it's going to fit, can anyone recommend one? Thanks

Where is your factory oil pressure switch? Down by the oil filter or at the top of the engine behind the intake manifold? Oil filter location is 1/4" pipe, up top is 1/8" pipe.

No matter where it is it's just standard pipe thread your local hardware store will have everything you need. As a matter fact if you are just adding. There is a port above the oil filter,and one behind the distributor. If there's already a sender/switch in one just use the other location

Thanks to both of ya that's what I wanted to know, and I didn't know there was a port down at oil filter. My factory switch is behind the distributor kind of a pain to reach

If you are running wires to a switch by the oil filter, make sure you cover them with a heat shield covering. Wires near the exhaust will not hold up well over time.

Changed it I was wrong both ports were used the one behind the distributor was an oil pressure SWITCH and the one on oil filter the sender, didn't know squarebodys had both but mine does. Anyways it's replaced and I added T for another gauge 2 thanks again

The switch is a redundant power supply for the fuel pump,so if the relay dies the pump still gets power through an oil pressure switch so you aren't stranded. Earlier squares used the 2nd switch to provide power to the choke only with the engine running.
