What is the OE Rally wheel size for a 1990 V1500.?

What is the stock wheel ET for 1990 V1500?

I currently have 16x10 ET-44 with 285/75R16 tires and they stick out up front, rub on fenders and make handling under braking sketchy. Would 16x8 ET-10 or ET0 with same tires work?

16x8 with zero offset will work well.

I don't think it will change your braking situation though. Unless the wider wheels are just amplifying your existing issue.

Back when I had a Honda CRX with manual steering I've learned how important is to have a correct ET on front axle: 10 mm off and keeping it in straight line under hard acceleration or braking, especially on roads with ruts was a fight. Adding power steering made it manageable.

With ET that is 44 mm off and relatively old school steering design any hard braking is currently challenging and I'm seeking ways to make it safer.

that said, I had to look that up as to me ET = Elapsed Time like 1/4 mile time.

and why if the car needs a OEM KPA rad caps, ...don't buy a PSI one. (or you maybe replacing a aluminum engine).

Imho, that's comparing apples to oranges. The driving dynamics, weight distribution and steering geometry of a CRX is nothing at all the same.

Actually there is one more variable: Changing outside diameter of tire will change a scrub radius. So going to ET0 with larger tires may cause an odd effect of reversing the forces acting on steering.
I guess I have to calculate the correct ET for my situation before buying any new rims.

Yes, the same physics apply. No argument there. But the application is completely different and FAR less sensitive to those physics than your CRX example. GM themselves offered wheels with different offsets.

I thought using the word offset in reference to wheels was your pet peeve yet you’re using it here?
Doesn’t matter as the OP seems to be confusing something as the pic in his avatar is not 10” wide -44 front rims. And offset doesn’t make the brakes and steering sketchy unless there’s another issue.
This just turned into one of those weird goat rope threads.
