i decided to go with a 4l80 in my crew and that leaves my nv4500 without a home.
i am thinking about building another truck and puttin my 203/205 doubler behind my nv4500 in that truck i think that would be sweet.
as far as i know no square bell housing can work with the nv4500 the center bearing support is bigger on a nv4500
and no the shifter from a sm465 will not fit you could cut it off and weld it to the base of the 4500 shifter for the same look
I believe I have a single piece driveshaft, yes to swapping into a k5 and I would prefer hydraulic clutch. If I find a tranny and tcase together I'll use it if not I got the 208 and a 241 to use if they mate.
Didn't do the nv4500. A friend had a parts k5 and I got the sm465 for free so it was a no brainer. Swap went great everything transferred from mt 700r4 to sm465 no problemsim going to bump this because i want to do this to my truck since i do a lot of expressway driving to Atlanta. any up dates on how it all worked out for the ones who did the swap?

Not sure. The 700r4 trans was replaced at one time already so not sure I was just glad it fell into placeYou must have had a different transfer case heh? To fit the 32 splines of the SM465?
