No taillights

I have a 84 c 10 that I'm not getting any taillights,what I did was un hook the light wire going to my autometer gauge and my security alarm started to go off,which this light from my gauge was working with my taillights, tired the wire back together but now I'm not getting any taillights or park lights but all othe lights works, any HELP checked and changed the taillights fuse but no hope but I. Not getting power from the pls port in my fusebox where the wires from my guages go?Thanks

Taillights and parking lights- check "T/L CTSY" fuse. An orange wire runs from that fuse to the headlight pull switch (the orange wire continues on to the courtesy light). A brown wire runs from the headlight pull switch to the parking lights & taillights. Also a dark green wire runs from the headlight pull switch to feed power to your "INST LPS" fuse. My guess (if fuses are good) is the orange wire not connected correctly or broke. It feeds the the taillights, park lights and LPS fuse all through the headlight pull switch.
