look what I found Haha. Its the harness for the long run to the rest of the truck. I couldn't find any issues with the rear harness that goes to each lamp assembly. So I took they wrap off the main harness and found the wires falling apart. Guess I need to find a new harness to wire in

You think that was hacked up to install the aftermarket tow harness?

No. The aftermarket tow harness just plugs in between the front and rear harnesses. No splicing. Hopefully I can find a replacement connector locally. Or a new set of 4 pin connectors to wire in

Which connector is it, the one on the end of the main harness plugging into the rear harness?

I could attempt to salvage this one. Only the yellow wire is short. But I maybe able to get a crimp on it if need be. But Id rather just install a new sealed plug

There is a link in here somewhere pinned for GM plugs I think Hotrod posted. These are pics off the '89 harness.

That thar looks like a weather pack connector. You might want to get yourself a weather pack starter kit like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Weatherpack...pt=Race_Car_Parts&hash=item3f2daa5ffe&vxp=mtr

Makes electrical repairs on the outside a bit more sturdy and longer lasting in my opinion. Plus it makes repairs on other weather pack bits a lot easier when you have the right tools.

Ok. Will do. I know that the cigarette lighter does work. So in other words, there shouldn't be two orange wires going into the circuit behind the light switch?

Did you ever get your orange wires traced out?
