I am new on this forum. I now have a 1984 Chevy Silverado that is at the paint shop. Has only 67,000 actual miles. Belonged to my Father in-law. Will post pictures when I get it back. The body shop owner is a friend of mine and he is building a new shop and I will be waiting till he gets that done and all wireing etc. because it will have a better paint booth. I am getting a better deal waiting. I am a Viet Nam Vet, 65-66 Big Red One out of Fort Riley, Kansas. We live in Western Kentucky. I am married to my wife of 48 years, three beautiful girls, (all married) and six also beautiful Grandchildren.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I am so glad the way our troops are treated today. When we came back from war we were looked down on. We were only doing what our Country asked of us. I lost some good friends over there but I was one of the lucky ones and made it home. Thanks again.

Yeah, you guys had to deal with bitches like Jane Fonda and the hippie movement. I had a 2nd cousin over there. I remember him talking about some stories of how terrible it was there, and how he was treated after he came home. I was still pretty young when he died young here at home. Saying due to chemical warfare he had been subjected to in Nam. :patriot: I think he was in his mid 30's when he died. I'd have been 13 or 14 by then. At least he got to come home and die.

Jane Fonda, never could understand why in the world she would do that. We sent some boots to Nancy Sanatra (sp) because her song "These boots were made for walking" came out when I was on search and destroy missions. We lost a lot of good men over there and like your 2nd cousin, after they got home. Again, I was one of the lucky ones. Never did get any of that "Agent Orange" that was sprayed on the folage. That stuff was posion. Your cousin did not have to die at such a young age. I believe that all took place after my tour was over. But at least we only had to spend one tour (12 months) in combat. But we did have the draft and did not have to keep sending our troops back again and again like they do today. You would not believe some of the stuff that goes on in war. Anyway, this is off subject.
