New seat bottom foam vs re-building existing?

Yes, and yes.. best price I’ve found.
Its the same product (OER) that other vendors sell for more.
although their shipping costs can be high, so depending on your location the price may be the same as other suppliers.

My wife does some upholstery work and has done a couple seats for me. We purchased a couple of the "OER" seat bottoms and found they are not as dense as the factory one, I sit deeper into the seat. We tried using canvas and such so it doesn't get sucked into the springs but at the end of the day, it's just much softer than the factory one.

We have kicked around making a mold and pouring our own since the tops are not available 81-87, it's not rocket science.

So Grit, old post - but curious what you landed on? Looking at the ACI bottom cushion. My seat is really in great condition, but also a bit softer on that driver side and bolster.
