i have a 1984 gmc 3500 dually wrecker the sm465 is shot a friend sold me a np540 trans there is no place to mount the transmission mount because the 540 was originally mounted to the bellhousing and the sm465 housing will not fit the 540 is there any other way to mount the trans to my original crossmember? any help would be greatly appreciated

You're not gonna be able to swap non gm stuff and have things like that workout. You'll either have to use the bellhousing mount style or make a new rear crossmember and trans mount.
