Bought a 77' K-10 short bed stepside couple weeks ago. It's a project truck and needs a lot of work inside and out. I always wanted a short bed stepside since high school. In high school I had a 77' C-10 long bed fleetside. It was pretty nice, had a 305 with a 3 on the tree. I put a 3 inch lift kit with 31" tires on it but then sold it and bought a car that was more reliable and better on gas since I was gonna go to school about 500 miles away from home.

Now I have a truck again and plan to fix it up. First I want to make it run solid, smooth out the body panels and paint with primer, then work on the interior. Gonna take some time but in the end it will be worth it.

Thanks guys. I already started working on it the first day I got it. Put new plugs and wires on it, threw a seat cover on it, and already started on the passenger front fender with the body work. I will take pics when I get the whole fender done.

where did you go to college?

I went to Northern Arizona University for 2 and a half semesters, Graduated Eastern Arizona College in May with my Associates in Automotive Service Technology, and in January I'm hoping to start working on earning my Bachelors from Arizona State University in Automotive Engineering.

Sold my truck and got my Impala so I could go to and from Flagstaff with no problem.

Damn dude, most kids there get a degree in "driving haul trucks".

Funny you say that. Thats what I'm doing this summer kind of Haha. They got a summer program for college kids to drive water trucks as big as haul trucks. The pay is good it's just a boring ass job.

Here's a pic of the trucks. This is my 3rd summer driving these beast.

I started out on a 769D with the same tank only smaller.

I drove those things for a few years and loved it.

Yezzir. 30,000 Gals.
Nice bro what mine did you work in?

Its pretty fun but driving an average of 5-10 mph all day just isn't for me. I like to haul ass everywhere. Pretty sketchy gettin those trucks up to 35 mph. If I could drive that fast around work all day then it would be fun. :)

I drove haul trucks and other machinery at the power plant outside of Springerville frome 04 to 08. We had no hills, it was all flat so we could rock all day at 40, the 100 ton trucks will go 40. We had a Hitachi Uclid that we clocked at 55, ******* terrifying.

The only Freeport mine I was in was Tyrone outside of Silver City and I worked for Hamilton until the price of copper plummeted. Right now I am working on moving to Tuscon so I can work in their Green Valley mine.
