Hey everyone  I actually joined a while back but I never posted up an intro.

Anywho, I actually have 2 squares and I've been lurking around here for a while. Things have finally settled down and I have more free time, so I figured I'd better start making some posts.

This is the 84 GMC the day I brought it home. And 2 days later the 6.2 grenaded. :shitsweak: It's gonna lose the flatbed after I get it running.

Rebuilt 6.2, almost ready to go in the 84

Can't seem to find a good pic of the 82 Chevy. Bought it dirt cheap to use as a DD and found out the motor smokes like crazy and the t-case has a huge hole in the side of it. Lol. Oops.

Just bought this today for a 100 dollar bill. Mid 80's burb frame, 350/700r4(I think)/np208 and axles. Gonna go get it this weekend. Parts for the 82!!!

And this is a couple of my parts trucks. The yellow one a guy gave me for free to get it off his property. Has a 350/4speed and a full floating 14 bolt.

I've got a few more junk squares out in the pasture. I'll nab some pics this weekend if anyone cares to see them.

Nice collection! :waytogo: I'm seriously considering a 6.2 K20 or so for towing my mud truck around. Welcome to the circus!!

Thanks guys! I guess I should clarify, I don't actually live on the farm. I live about an hour away. So all that crap in the background of a couple of the pics is my brothers, not mine. Lol.

I'll be sure to get more pics this weekend Jason. I just love looking at these trucks no matter what their condition. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Curt, the 6.2 can be a pretty good motor if built right and taken care of. I don't know how long this one will last, as it was built on a pretty tight budget. 6.2's are too darn expensive to work on! For what I spent on it, I could have bought a Cummins.

That's good to know. If I can come across a 6.2 square cheap enough and just ride it till the engine gives out I would go straight for the Cummins. Only question would be 4bt or 6bt?

North central KS. Beloit to be exact. The farm is south of Smith Center and that's where I grew up.

Yea, I debated for a long time over 4bt or 6bt. I was kinda worried the 6bt would be too heavy and crack the frame. And I was pretty sure the 10 bolt axle wouldn't last long under it either. I've heard the 4bt vibrates really bad and I didn't want to rattle my truck to pieces, so I said screw it and stuck a 6.2 back in. Lol.

We have a member on here who has a 4BT in his Burb. He just got done with a tilt nose on it too. He didn't mention anything about being rattles to pieces.

Hmm. I'll have to talk to him. When I was researching it, I kept seeing people complaining about cracking windshields and things rattling loose.

What did you do to the 6.2 when you rebuilt it? From what I understand, they will run forever if you take care of them. I did not read about any that just let go, one guy was even running some ridiculous turbo on his he rigged up at around 20psi of boost trying to destroy the engine on purpose.
