1977 K5 Blazer.

These seem like they would work for my lift (4" is a guess). But the price is too high. It a pavement pounder on a budget. What should I get?

for the price these are awesome with a warranty. Monroe Coil overs. Huge difference in feel and ride. Look up your vehicle and go from there. With you having a 4" lift, you may have to call them, but I'm sure they've been through it before and can tell you what you need. I have them on my stock 86 k10. Worth a call.

Don’t guess on lift height and shock fitment. Measure existing and double check part numbers you’re ordering for length and bushing size etc.
otherwise you’ll be much further from them installing themselves than you think.

Skyjackers are cheaper than Rancho and work just fine if $60/shock is too much.

I have Ranchos for 2 reasons: PO used them, and they were a good price point for shocks that seemed to be 4x4/off-road centric, not that I drive off-road much at all, but the truck is "lifted" 2 inches on blocks. Also, I bought them 2 at a time to save a dime and installed when I had them all. Not a hard job but it is a PIA. Totally worth not paying the labor though.

Get some PB Blaster and an impact wrench.
