!!!!Need Np208 transfer case!!!!

In need of a np208 transfer case, or input/front wheel drive side of the case
Located in Lima ohio or trafalgar Indiana depending on the weekend
Can drive depending on weekend also to meet or pick up
I really need a case as there's none in ohio apparently

I have a few 208 cases but shipping is a lot from here.

I don't have time to tear out an input gear or that could save a lot of shipping.

what transmission do you have
turbo 350 and 700r4 have the same input gear

turbo 400 and the sm 465 4 speed(85 and up) have the same input gear

in 85 when they first used the 208 behind a 465 they changed the tail shaft on the 4 speed to a long 32 spline tail shaft.

That isn't a hole! That is just a crack. Man I'd grind those edges down smooth to the case and jb weld that bitch shut. IF the jb weld fails.. weld it!

Your way overthinking this that case only holds a small amount of fluid not under pressure. That is a super easy fix.

If this was mine it would be welded already. I would find someone with a TIG or Heliarc and some experience, push the bend back part into place and have it welded up.

I have talked to the college welding teacher and he said they could but there's no guarantee it will hold

Hold what? Weld it and forget about it! It's not structural.

But seeing how difficult it is to get the case I'd like to get one if they refuse to weld it

Then find someone else! Tons of people with welders who would do this. As it was stated its not structural and there is no internal pressure.

Anyone who can weld worth a damn can seal this up.
